Sombo & Sport CombatSombo Teachers Course August 2010

This is  Course for those who wish to teach Sombo to Schools Level. The course will be a Sunday Starting at 10am till 5pm it suitable for Novices and experience players as well. The Course will consist of Students learning:

 

SOMBO

 

1)      How to Fall

2)      How to perform and demonstrate 4 throws

3)      How to perform and demonstrate 4 ground holds

4)      How to perform and demonstrate an arm lock and leg lock

5)      Basic rules of Sombo

6)      Defence and counter moves

7)      Health and Safety

 

 

 

 

The Course will cost £60 which includes examination fees

IBF/BCSA/BSF Practical Proficiency Award Scheme

 

Instructors Award

 

Personal Requirements

 

1)      IBF/BCSA/BSF current member

2)    Must be personally competent in the disciple

3)      Minimum 15 years of age

4)      Have a basic knowledge of First Aid a Recognised First Aid Certificate is recommended

5)      Has read the IBF/BCSA/BSF Child Protection Policy, When teaching Children a CRB Check and Child protection Certificate is recommended

 

Examination Requirements

 

1)      Demonstrate a correct warm up procedure

2)      Demonstrate 3 techniques of the examiners choosing

3)      Explain what is meant by Safe Exercise

4)      Teach a lesson

5)    Referee a Sombo Match

 

 

 

All pupils must be members of one of the following organisations, British CombatSombo Association or PankrationUK or IBF or GrapplingUK
